Notes:
The International Police Association (IPA) was founded in the UK in 1950. It is now established in 60 nations. It is a worldwide friendship association comprising serving and retired police officers. IPA commissioned Lochcarron of Scotland to design the new tartan. Production and distribution of the tartan will be controlled exclusively by the executive committee of Region 1, IPA (Scotland). This tartan supersedes the previous IPA tartan recorded by the STWR at #2824 and by the STA at #3991. Initiated by copyright difficulties with the original tartan at #3991.
