  • Notes: Menswear and tartan hire company Philip King of Aberdeen approached the NHS in Grampian suggesting that they should desing for the service. This was welcomed and it was decided that the colours of the new NHS Grampian logo - two shades of blue - should be incorporated. A percentage of all sales of the new tartan is donated to NHS Grampian, which will be utilised in a special fund for staff development. Woven by D C Dalgliesh who called it NHS Scotland.
